Protel Hotel Software: Instructions for GDPR-compliant functions

The Protel Hotel Software is ready to meet the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR].

The version of Protel you have is compliant with the Regulation. It should simply run from any terminal with Protel The file you will find and download in the link below, through which you can see in detail the instructions for the changes made to the application:

 

 

Before the process "gets underway", however, you should have made - as a hotel - the following decisions:

  • What will be the default process for a customer? Will they be kept in your database or will they be de-identified and if so, in how many days?
  • Which user groups will be able to stop de-identification?
  • What will be the minimum & maximum period that your customer profiles will be kept in your database?
  • Which VIP customers will not be identified?

 

Print and sign the supplementary article of the contract between us from here.

This additional agreement details the cases and manner in which HiT SA can be considered the “Processor” of your visitors’ personal data, i.e. only during the Support of the application. Protel Hotel Software in an active installation.
